The winter blues are setting in Grayish hues wearing thin Creeping low on browning ground Hiding out from inward sound Reddened faces, sunken skin Lashing out to keep it in Then wrapped up tight in blackened lace Disappear without a trace
Holding on to feet Crinkling fingers in toes Rocking to the sorrowful beat Until the aching goes
Be still For though the earth may rumble And the storms may rage Others' wounds Are as deeply grave Approach the door Wear your heart on your skin We'll open wide And cradle you in
