Confused

Sometimes
I can’t tell
If I hate you more
Or me
Sometimes
I can’t tell
If I’m self-chained
Or free
Other times
I wonder
If I’ve crossed
Too many lines
If what
I am seeing
Are sixes
Or nines

Don’t know
If it’s me
Or you
Or us both
I just want
Clear skies
And white clouds
That float
And pixies
And dust
And flowers
That bloom
And so much
Joy
Filling
The gloom

But that
Is not real
Or life
Or us
It’s all just
Pretend
The glitter
The crust
It’s not
What creates
The people
We are
It’s not
What lives
Rooted
In scars

So what now?
The answer
The solution
The creed
That eliminates
The tension
The ache
The need
That solves
Absolves
Bandages
Heals
Breaks
Fixes
Slices
Surreals

Nope
Nothing
No way
To the end
No potion
No doctor
No suture
No mend
It’s there
It stays
It won’t
Delay
But even if
You push me
I won’t
Run away

  2. What I love about your poetry is that it draws me in and moves me without ever manipulating me. It never feels formulaic. It just fulfills the measure of its creation, and that is enough.(I decided this was a better place for praise than some obscure facebook post.)
