Some are light-hearted, others heart-breaking.
I never thought I’d get over my trust issues when I was in my early 20’s. You could say it’s fate or providence that circumstances required me and my husband to be friends at a distance for several years before dating really became an “option” (in our minds, anyways. If you’re confused as to what I mean by this, google “mormon mission”). I’m not sure it would have worked any other way; I simply didn’t know how to trust someone in a romantic context without knowing who they were as a friend first. I’m lucky he was patient.
